In the second video of the series, IM Andrey Ostrovskiy is covering some popular alternatives for black as well as some minor lines after the third move for white in the King's Gambit Accepted. The main focus of this video is on the main strategies and plans for both sides in the different variations.

The King's Gambit starts with the moves:

1.e4 e5 2.f4

Black has a choice here between accepting the gambit, counter-attacking and making any other move. The main focus of this video is on the King's Gambit Accepted after 2…exf4.

The main variations covered in the video are:

1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4

White has several options here:

5:30 3.Bc4, Bishop's Gambit
6:44 Black’s move 3…d5
White has the following options:
7:01 4.exd5, Bledow Variation

Black has the following options:

White has the following options:

White has two options:

24:56 Black’s move 3…d6, Fischer Defense
After the moves 4.d4 g5
White has two options:

28:10 5.Bc4

The series on the King's Gambit will consist of 5 videos, each covering one key variation in depth.

*** There is a little mistake in the video at 3:28. Black’s d-pawn should be placed on d7 instead of d6. After white’s move 6.Qd3, black has to answer with the pawn move 6…d7-d5.***
