What is a windmill?
A windmill is a tactic in which a combination of discovered checks and regular checks, usually by a rook and a bishop, often forcing the opposing king to move back and forth between two squares, can win massive amounts of material.
When there are limited squares for the enemy king, there is maybe a windmill possibility, and notice that a windmill is the combination of regular checks and discovered checks. Almost always that windmill is involving a rook and a bishop, but sometimes the windmill will involve a knight and a bishop instead.
