In this video, GM Mauricio Flores is starting a video series dedicated to the topic of different pawn structures (KID Pawn Structure Type 1-3) in the King's Indian Defense. In first video, he is going to discuss the King's Indian Defense structure with black’s move c7-c6. This structure is named as the Type I structure. You will learn how to play the KID Type I Structure by knowing the major plans and ideas from white’s perspective. White is fighting for the c-file and white is more likely to win just because of the space advantage. White has a very substantial space advantage and it’s hard for black to fight back.

GM Mauricio Flores is the author of the well recognized book "Chess Structures: A Grandmaster Guide". Link: www.amazon.com/Chess-Structures-Mauricio-Flores-Rios/dp/1784830003
