The first one is the 3 vs 3 pawns scenario, where one side sacrifices two pawns in order to get one pawn promoted by breaking through the opponent’s pawn chain. The second one is the 4 vs 4 pawns scenario, where you learn different methods on how to sacrifice pawns in order to promote one of your pawns.
