In your chess games you will often face the situation that you do not know how to continue and struggle to find a good plan. This does not only happen to beginners but also to intermediate and advanced players. Often, they struggle to evaluate properly the position, which is why in this series, IM Alex Astaneh will teach you a method that helps you to evaluate every position by use of a method. You will learn the different factors of the evaluation method and learn how to apply it to any chess position. In this second video of the series, we will apply these factors to a position that arose in a chess game played between two grandmasters.

It is very complex to evaluate certain positions, however there are some key factors that need to be considered when evaluating a chess position. Considering key factors like king placement, central control, piece harmony and others will help you to correctly assess any chess position.
