Generally doubled pawns are considered as a weakness. However, in some situations they might be beneficial and useful. In this video, GM Ivan Sokolov will take a look at the advantages of doubled pawns in the center. Based on an instructive example, you will see that it is not a bad idea for white to push the c4- and d5-pawn in such a position if he can.
