In this second part of our pawn structures series for improver level players (chess rating 1200+), we will focus on hanging and backward pawn formations. Based on instructive examples, you will learn how to win with hanging pawns and how to beat them. Besides the hanging pawns we will also have a look on backward pawns and see which role they have in different openings. In addition to that you will also learn important backward pawn strategies to complete your pawn structure foundation.
