In this series about pawn structures, GM Alex Lenderman will discuss further chess strategies involving pawns. In particular he will discuss the topic of pawn storms and how they can apply in different openings. Special attention will also be paid on the topic of the pawn center. You will learn general ideas and rules on how to fight against the pawn center and the space advantage.

In this video, you will learn how to use pawn storms in the Kings Indian Defense in order to open-up your opponent’s king position and to create a decisive attack against the enemy king.

What is a pawn storm?
A Pawn storm is a situation in which several Pawns are moved in rapid succession toward the opponent's defenses or King. A Pawn storm usually involves adjacent Pawns on one side of the board, which can either be the queenside or the kingside.
